Freezing – 12 (Finale)

I think I see what they were trying to do with these twelve episodes of Freezing.  The staff had planned a second season from the very beginning (although there has been no announcement yet).

These first twelve episodes served mainly as an introduction to all the characters, the mechanics, and the essentials that Freezing has to offer while providing one plot-relevant battle to help bring loose ends together.  Should there be a second season in the near future, then this season will have been the foundation for the next season, allowing it to immediately launch into whatever it wants to focus on, be it relationships or Novas or girls losing their arms in battles or whatever else happens at that crazy, crazy academy.

Freezing – 11

Freezing has finally returned to the expectation level I set for it after the first episode.  After spending most of the series slowly introducing the cast and involving them in a mismatched fight against Satellizer, the series is providing some purpose to the girls’ training and fighting by defending their school from certain invasion.  And what’s nice is that the cast is fully utilized and there’s plenty of action and ecchi to go around in these final episodes.

Freezing – 7

Well, that was a delight.  We finally got the blood back.  Even if it’s just for this one episode, it’s wonderful to see it back and abundant as ever.

Freezing – 6

One naturally should assume that a world-class academy, such as Genetics, would have an outstanding and engaging faculty, enriching the students’ lives and graduating an elite class of super-soldiers prepared to save the world from colossal aliens.  But that assumption is completely untrue.  Given the complete lack of presence the teachers have on campus and around students, I’m willing to say that the instructors at Genetics are some of the worst in the world.
