Dog Days’ (S2) – 8

Although the realm of Flonyard appears to be incredibly peaceful, exceptionally pleasant, and irrefutably safe, it’s essentially a world plagued with horrifying demons, merciless highway bandits, and innumerable crimes and destruction.  Even with respect to the lighthearted, friendly, and optimistic themes that Dog Days’ constantly upholds, Flonyard is beleaguered with threats and menaces.  While a world perfect for fun and adventures to any traveling hero or super-solider, it must be entirely the opposite for the citizens who inhabit these lands and call Flonyard home.

Dog Days’ (S2) – 1

Unlike the first season of Dog Days which illustrated the tale of a single hero who saved Biscotti and brought peace to the realm of Flonyard, the second season of Dog Days will narrate the adventures of three heroes.  With the inclusion of Becky and Nanami as the new heroes of Pastillage and Galette respectively (though Becky still has a ways to go right now), the anime will need to shift its attention and perspective to include three focal points instead of the standard one.  It is already apparent that this will drastically alter virtually every aspect of how the story of Dog Days’ is told, so let’s examine what changes we can expect with the new trio of heroes, Shinku, Becky, and Nanami.

Needless – Chapter 103

An element common to all fighting manga and anime is the appearance of a formidable and daunting opponent.  With the introductions finished and the fight already underway, it is natural for the audience to question or speculate how the heroes will triumph over this obstacle.  With Needless, every battle is dictated or determined by the fragments and fighters present.  So in order for the readers to figure out how to overcome the opponent, they must understand how to overcome their fragment first.

Needless – Chapter 102

Anytime a manga, anime, or other series does something you don’t anticipate, weren’t prepared for, or goes in a direction you don’t want, it quickly becomes a shocking or sensitive subject.  What suddenly becomes more important than the actual developments is how this delicate topic is handled and what satisfaction or salvation can be gained by those in disagreement to what’s happening.  The events of Needless Chapter 102 were able to solve most of these issues but not all of them. **Warning: spoilers below**

Needless – Chapter 99

Though this chapter did present an enormous amount of thrilling developments, including some inconceivable shocks and heartbreaking twists, its purpose was to serve as a segue to the next story arc which will explore one of the most enigmatic and essential elements of Needless: Cruz’s past.  Mysterious and undisclosed up to this point, we will finally discover the history of our protagonist. **Warning: spoilers below**

Needless – Chapter 98

It’s finally happening, it’s finally here.  After being hinted at and foreshadowed for quite some time, we’re actually going to see it happen.  The Pretty Girl Squad’s next opponent will be… each other.  That’s right, we’re finally going to see the trio split and fight each other in what will be a true test for each girl, not only in might but in character and resolve.  And the battle with Seto and Solva still continues and with another major revelation.  Just what exactly is Simeon up to?  The City arc continues with yet another amazing chapter. **Warning: spoilers below**
