Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita – 5

Humanity has declined.  Which means, at some time prior, humanity was at its zenith, the pinnacle of success and accomplishment and advancement.  But what was this time like for mankind?  Was the climax of humanity something parallel to our current societies or something more?  Well, given the expedition into the ruins of a former mankind, we’re able to understand a little more about the peak of mankind and the setting of Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita.

Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita – 4

This is the introductory paragraph for a blog post about Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita.  The purpose of this section is to establish a subject for the majority of the post while providing the reader with general background information on the topic.  The next sentence usually helps by beginning to specify a particular theme for the post or to provide an opinion from the writer based on their reaction to this episode.  After that, the paragraph concludes with… actually, screw that, not doing a meta post because this episode of Jinrui was meta.  Also, someone who posts on time probably already did it, so no point in… right, stop being meta.  Okay, instead, let’s discuss something neglected: the assorted perspectives in Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita.

Spring 2012 – Week 12 Anime Review

This week: though it wasn’t the finale I was hoping for, I am satisfied with the ending to Tasogare Otome x Amnesia, the tale of a hero in Tsuritama, questions about planning and waste in Lupin III: Mine Fujiko to Iu Onna, and my biggest gripe with the Players in Zetman.

Jormungand – 3

Captivating and dazzling, august and imposing, Koko commands Jormungand through its tumultuous adventures, electrifying action, and charming comedy.  But that alone does not complete the persona that is Koko.  Beyond the recognizable, there are quelled characteristics of our heroine that sprout in opportune moments that showcase a magnanimous and compassionate side to Koko that otherwise remains obscured.  Koko is truly a kind soul despite what her mischievous appearance and exceptional behavior would suggest.  While her entire team of elite bodyguards looks toward Koko in order to protect her in her critical business, she looks back at them and makes certain her team is taken care of, too.

Last Exile: Ginyoku no Fam – 18

I know, I’m surprised, too.  A new Last Exile: Ginyoku no Fam post?

Well, it’s been over a month since I posted anything about Last Exile and this episode is probably long forgotten by now.  Oh well.  Hopefully the topic is still interesting albeit it now being out of date by the most current episode but I planned to cover this series episodically (minus the recaps, though I must interject and say episode 17 was absolutely amazing seeing the entire original Last Exile in one wondrous episode) and dammit, I’ll do just that.

This post will cover the facelessness of war, the fact that neither we nor the characters truly experience all the human lives that are involved in these wars.

Shinryaku!? Ika Musume S2 – 3

Is it ironic that Ika Musume invaded the surface to liberate the oceans and topple mankind, yet, through inquiring and imitation, she is slowly becoming human herself?  Or perhaps is it clever that she goes through this gradual transformation?

Fractale – 6

I think everyone was happy with Fractale 6.  Or at least a majority.  Or whatever, that was baseless, I don’t know.  I just know that I’m happy and that’s probably the first time I can say so since the second episode.

So, anyway, let’s take a step back from everything for a sec, away from the temple, Phryne’s minor revolt, and Nessa’s purpose and examine the people living in the 33rd century.  And yes, this is what I was expecting from Fractale all along.  We finally got to explore the various forms of humanity in this strange land.
