12 Days of Anime (2013) – Day 6 – 3 Year Anniversary and 500th Post
Posted by avvesione in 12 Days of Anime, Anime, Me + Other Non-Anime Posts on December 20, 2013
To think, on December 20, 2010, Avvesione’s Anime Blog was nothing more than a wild idea derived from my passion for anime and my desire to express it. It may have been 0 days old and have 0 posts, but I knew this idea would grow into something special. Today, on December 20, 2013, my anime blog has triumphed through 3 long years and amassed a total of 499 posts. With this post commemorating the 3 Year Anniversary for Avvesione’s Anime Blog, it also marks a great, new milestone, being my 500th post. This is truly an exceptional moment for me and my anime blog. Just trying to fathom all the time and anime and thinking and writing that occurred between these two time points is nothing short of remarkable. Never did I imagine that my anime blog would ever make it this far. And now, I wonder, where will it go from here.

12 Days of Anime (2013) – Day 11 – Connections with Bloggers
Posted by avvesione in 12 Days of Anime, Anime, Me + Other Non-Anime Posts on December 15, 2013
To reiterate just how influential and significant the social aspects of Sakura-Con 2013 were on me this year, Day 11 of my 12 Days of Anime is reserved for a continuation on this theme but on a much broader and open scale. Following the massive social event that was Sakura-Con, several local bloggers and internet personalities decided to form a cohort, of sorts, and meet at various times in Seattle as a means of maintaining our camaraderie. What resulted was more than simple get-togethers with food and friends but a new medium of exchanging ideas on anime and getting to know people and their opinions that would otherwise be impossible on the internet alone. What resulted were not only numerous enjoyable experiences but some of the best memories of 2013 in regards to anime.

This week: explaining why what we’re watching now is Samurai Flamenco “B”, the contrast in perspectives between Kaiki and Araragi in Monogatari Series Second Season, analyzing the various time periods and settings shown in Magi: The Kingdom of Magic, and recognizing why Little Busters! Refrain is performing much better than its first season.
