Summer 2011 – Week 3 – Short Thoughts
Posted by avvesione in 2011 Summer, Anime on July 26, 2011
Interested in some quick opinions each week on the 15 anime I’m currently watching this summer?
I decided earlier this summer to only do episodic posts on three shows instead of the normal four and use the free time to do a post with my thoughts or something short about everything I’m watching. The third week has already occurred, and it’s about time I get around to posting something about what thoughts, issues, questions, or whatever I have on each show. And yeah, I’m borrowing the title from that Nichijou skit that I enjoy so much.
Summer 2011 – First Week Impressions (Part 2)
Posted by avvesione in 2011 Summer, Anime, First Impressions on July 8, 2011
This post has my thoughts and impressions on Kamisama Dolls, No. 6, Mawaru Penguindrum, and Idolmaster.
Friday marked a prominent day for this anime season, releasing over half a dozen new shows, including the one I was anticipating the most, Usagi Drop. I held some form of interest and anticipation in all of them and tested all the new shows (that includes Mayo Chiki, which I simply scanned through just to validate my earlier doubts) to see which ones were sensible and which should be promptly dismissed. But a few shows didn’t fall into either of the two categories and will give me something to consider when they air again next week.
Up first are the obvious winners, which should not be surprising considering my tastes.
