These middle weeks of the Summer anime season serve as a highly appropriate period to provide evaluations, grades, and rankings on each of the anime we’re following.  Here, you’ll find my reviews for each of the anime I’m following for the Summer 2012 season.

Summer 2012 – Week 6 Anime Review

This week: why Satoshi is more than a database in Hyouka, altering character dynamics in Sengoku Collection, abrupt character growth in Tari Tari, and the perfect way to ruin a great story in Sword Art Online.

Summer 2012 – Week 2 Anime Review

This week: a fantastic and supplementary use to the overlays in Sengoku Collection, examining fragmentation of the Classics Club in Hyouka, and that annoying convenience in Tari Tari.

Spring 2012 – Season Review

With the conclusion of the Spring anime season comes a period of evaluation and judgment based on everything that was watched.  In the end, a final mark is given that encompasses our thoughts and feelings on the series and is the assessment we return to when looking back at the series.  Though this closure for an anime series may seem shallow compared to the experience we had over the past twelve or so weeks, it does feel like a way to properly finish a series before we fully immerse ourselves in the Summer anime season.  And with that, here is the final review for the Spring 2012 anime season.

Spring 2012 – Week 12 Anime Review

This week: though it wasn’t the finale I was hoping for, I am satisfied with the ending to Tasogare Otome x Amnesia, the tale of a hero in Tsuritama, questions about planning and waste in Lupin III: Mine Fujiko to Iu Onna, and my biggest gripe with the Players in Zetman.

Spring 2012 – Week 11 Anime Review

This week: understanding and appreciating opinions in Hyouka, an older brother anime to Space Brothers, the effects of inappropriate storytelling in Mouretsu Pirates, and a marvelous aesthetic touch in Medaka Box.

Spring 2012 – Week 10 Anime Review

This week: significant and immediate improvements in Lupin the Third: Mine Fujiko to Iu Onna, contradictions in Houtarou’s lifestyle in Hyouka, understanding the mechanics of alien communication in Tsuritama, and philosophical questions arisen from the finale of Upotte!!.
