Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita – 2

Humanity has declined?  Nah, humanity has already declined; humanity is dead.  Or at least that’s one interpretation of where this anime is going.  The other, and an equally possible alternative, is that humanity is indeed in a steady decline but it can redeem itself and eventually be saved.  The reason why and how both these understandings of Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita exist is due to the ability of the audience to view this anime through two completely opposite perspectives and arrive at entirely different outcomes.  In order to understand the enigmatic message of this anime accurately, we must first ask ourselves this question: is Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita pro-industry or anti-industry?

Nisemonogatari – 3

Here’s a statement: if you’ve only heard two things about Nisemonogatari, then you should really spend more time on the internet and look around because it’s a damn good show.  But going back to the first clause, if you’ve only heard two things about Nisemonogatari, then you’ve probably heard about its phenomenal dialogue, its unconventional art presentation, or its overwhelming fanservice.  Oh wait, I count three.  Right, that’s three.  Keep in mind I only limited it to two and wouldn’t be surprised if you heard all three but I limited it to two just in case that original statement applies to you and you’ve only heard two things about Nisemonogatari.  Right, that’s what I did.  Well, here and now, I’m going to present a fourth (third?) feature that has been precariously overlooked and ripe for review and recognition.  Bear with me, we’re about to dive into the exceptional voice acting in Nisemonogatari.

Further Thoughts and Analysis on Another

After receiving some interesting feedback and comments and studying people’s thoughts and impressions, I’ve decided to reanalyze the first episode of Another to see if I misinterpreted or, more accurately, misjudged the horror elements employed in the first episode.  Now, after reviewing some scenes and giving the anime more thought, I believe I missed a lot of foreshadows, subtle hints, and even the first death of the series.  Whoops.

Guilty Crown – 9

The most unfamiliar component of Guilty Crown thus far has been the underdeveloped setting.  The anime is situated in the years following the Apocalypse Virus (Apoc Virus) epidemic, an event that devastated Japan and which lead to the current timeline in which the GHQ governs the recovering nation, the Funeral Parlor retaliates against their oppression, and Voids are the physical manifestations of people’s hearts.  But the series has done little to clarify these crucial matters that structure the world and the plot of this anime, and that has left us in the dark regarding many issues with the setting.  Fortunately, episode 9 provides some answers on these issues in addition to expanding on essential matters like the Apoc Virus and its relationship with Voids.
